Daily Update is a newsletter that arrives through an email that you will receive every time there are new records that match your search criteria.

Your profile must be active and you must have logged in at least 14 days to receive it. The date of stay must be in the future.

If you do not want to receive the Daily Update, uncheck it in the corresponding box located in the configuration of your profile.

Can I be an Au Pair in my own country?

The aim of the Au Pair stay is to learn another language better and to know another culture abroad. That is why we do not accept registrations of Au Pair s who want to work in their own country. In addition, in some countries the law prohibits being an Au Pair in one s own country.

What should I do if I can not send more requests?

The number of requests is limited for a time. The idea is that our users receive serious proposals from host families and Au Pair s, instead of receiving numerous random messages. This only applies to requests, that is, from the first message that a family receives an Au Pair.

You can send as many messages as you wish, in a conversation that has already been initiated.

It is calculated individually the maximum number of requests that can be sent and depending on how many requests have been sent in a certain time. If you can no longer send more requests, we suggest you log in occasionally to make sure you can resend again. Or you can become a Premium Member, since you can send unlimited requests.

Is the identity of Au Pair s and host families verified?

Aupair is responsible for verifying frequently the authenticity of the registered profiles. We make sure that there is no more than one profile for the same user or that the Au Pair is not misused. Sometimes users are asked to send an identity document. We delete profiles that have been inactive for a long time.

Families and Au Pair s can check if there is compatibility between them and if they meet their expectations by interacting with Skype, email or phone number.
In addition, it is the Au Pair s themselves and families who must stipulate the agreements of the Au Pair stay. In Au Pair we give you all the information about the Au Pair stay. We make model contracts available to our users that can be downloaded. If you have doubts or misunderstandings about families or Au Pair s, our team is at your disposal.

What is an Au Pair ?

An Au Pair is a young person between 18 and 30 years old, who is not married, has no children and wants to travel abroad to live temporarily with a host family. While the Au Pair is in the stay, in addition to helping to take care of the children and perform small household chores, Au Pair becomes a member of the family.

The concept of Au Pair originates from French and means "at par". This means that there is a reciprocal change in which the Au Pair is paid in exchange for helping while living as another member of the family by being part of the same routine. The Au Pair must receive free accommodation and food. Payment and working hours are determined depending on the rules of the country of residence. The purpose of the Au Pair stay is the reciprocal cultural exchange in the family environment.

The Au Pair is like the "older brother / sister" who takes the responsibility of taking care of the youngest of the family during a certain time. In addition, you can improve your language level with the family and you must regularly attend your language classes. The Au Pair has a vision about the culture, language and life of the family in general. As you know the routine of your new family, you will learn some customs and why not, some habits. Over time, the Au Pair will make new experiences, insights and impressions. All this will benefit you in your professional future

What are the tasks of an Au Pair ?

During your work as an Au Pair , you will be a member of the host family, that is, you must perform some daily tasks at home. During that time you are like a "big brother" or “big sister” and you must take care of the children, but you must also do some domestic tasks in relation to the children.

  • Help with their homework
  • Feed them
  • Order their room
  • Wash and iron their clothes
  • Take them to school or to their extracurricular activities and go for them.
  • On the other hand, there are rights as an Au Pair that you should know: an Au Pair is not a babysitter, nurse of elderly people or domestic service, is a family member temporarily. It is not an employee.
